Hello and welcome my friends, Thank you for stopping here today! Today’s post is directed towards a special cause – one we hope that you might want to contribute towards.
The Go Gold campaign by ACCO is geared towards raising funds to help support pediatric cancer warriors. The ACCO aims to provide help and support for children and families living with cancer, and campaigns for more awareness and research in this area to give our cancer warriors a better chance at fighting the war against cancer. Proceeds raised from this auction will go directly to the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO).
To that effect, makers and bloggers have worked towards an auction where both handmade and non-handmade products will be auctioned off with the proceeds going directly into the ACCO funds. I am honored to be part of this wonderful group of women who’ve put in so much effort into such an important cause.
Read on to see what I’ve made for the auction and if you like them, please visit the Pediatric Cancer warriors auction page to bid for them. The auction starts on Oct 27th at 8:00 a.m. EST and ends on Oct 28th at midnight. I encourage you to visit this page where a lot of handmade as well as non-handmade items are listed, you just might find something you like! You can help support the cause by sharing the word about our auction.
First up is the Girls Brooke Blossom skirt by Orange Daisy patterns. It features a half circle skirt with a dramatic high-low hem. If you want to see more on why we love this skirt so much, you can see my review here.
The fabric I used is a really soft and drapey cotton polyester blend. I like the bright and cheery Hawaiian print and find it perfect for this pattern. This is a size 2 made to fit a child with a waist measurement of 21″ inches and height of 35″. All raw edges are completely enclosed by french seams.
The second item that I made for the auction is an all time favorite around here! The Cascade maxi by Chalk and Notch is one of my daughter’s favorite dresses this season. It features a bias-cut maxi skirt with a lovely high-low hem.
This is a size 2 maxi, made to fit a child with a height of about 35″. This gorgeous dress is made from a cotton lawn with a lovely drape. All of the raw edges are enclosed by french seams.
We have had help from some amazing sponsors who have donated generously for this cause, I would like to thank our sponsor Upcraft club who is donating a $20 gift certificate for a GIVEAWAY to help us spread the word about our Bloggers for Pediatric Cancer Warriors Auction.
